Youth hostels | The Hops Dry is a popular destination and a relaxing lay-by when visiting the Hops Loop. Here we offer good coffee with home-baked, beer brewed of our own hop. We also have handicrafts for sale and a nice hostel.
The big red wooden house the Hops Dry is a uniqe buildning where hop (flavouring in beer) was dryed up until 1959. At the most the "dry" gave around 9 tons a year. So farming and drying hop really marked Näsum. the 6-7 meter high vines was a dominating feature in the landscape and in August, when the ripe hop cones was shining golden yellow it was a beautiful view.
As a visitior you can enjoy the home brewed Näsuma-beer made from hops from the own cultivation, drink a nice cup of coffee with home made cookies and sandwiches. In the café, you can also buy ceramic, textile and glass from local artist-craftsmen.
Outside the café you can see the hop growing, and if you want to it's possible to buy a hop plant to bring home.
